Weekend Review – Round 18 2017

Wow, what a finish to the 2017 home and away season. Edi-Asp capped their campaign off strongly with a 78 point win over Mornington. The Eagles will now fancy themselves to go deep into the final this year. Mt Eliza made sure there was no losing of 5th spot, with a 92 point thrashing of Langwarrin at home. Knott and Lombardozzi both had 5 goals to their name for the day for the Redlegs. Pines made it two in a row, defeating Karingal by 61 points, Frankston YCW had to shake off a spirited Chelsea side, eventually running out 24 point winners and in the last game, Bonbeach continued the great season with a 47 point win to keep Seaford out of the 2017 finals race.

Frankston YCW – 1st: Week Off

Bonbeach – 2nd v Edi-Asp – 3rd: Qualifying Final @ Frankston Park Sunday 27th Aug (winner to play Frankston YCW in 2nd Semi-Final, Loser to play winner from Elimination Final).

Pines – 4th v Mt Eliza – 5th: Elimination Final @ Chelsea FNC Saturday 26th Aug (winner to play loser from Qualifying Final).

Netball

Netball action for the home and away season now comes to an end. Some great matches were played to finish out the season. Mornington handed Edi-Asp a 6 goal loss, while Mt Eliza defeated Langwarrin by 10 goals. Karingal were too good for Pines winning by 35 goals.
