Big day in the Peninsula Football Netball League for the Football Grand Finals.

In the Under 19’s Frankston YCW took on Mt Eliza in what was a brilliant contest. The Stonecats controlled the game early on but wayward kicking kept the Redlegs in the game. Mt Eliza had an attempt at a comeback but like Frankston YCW poor kicking in front of goal cost them. At the end of the day, the Stonecats won by 19 points.

The Reserves had Mt Eliza win there 4th flag in a row. The Redlegs won by 40 points in a clinical display for reserves football. Tim Strickland from Mt Eliza won the Best on Ground.

In the Seniors, it was once again the mighty Frankston YCW who came through with the goods on Grand Final day. The first half was a fierce contest with Bonbeach as they had relentless pressure. After halftime, the Sharks had some chances early to peg back the margin but some misses cost them and the class of YC was too good and they ran away with the game. Byron Barry was named Best on Ground. The result was Frankston 7th flag in 8 years and also they equaled Hastings 4-peat of 1908-11.
