The Review framework is detailed in the Terms of Reference document and is consistent with the conditions under which a review can be conducted as set out in the AFL Victoria Rules (Rule 4.7)

The framework can be summarised as:

  • – March/April – Consultation with Stakeholders
  • – May – Review Panel to consider the feedback from the consultation and to issue draft recommendations by the end of May
  • – June – Stakeholders then have 4 weeks to make written submissions
  • – July – AFL South East Commission to issue final Review recommendations

The Review will also take into account feedback received during 2016 when a survey was sent to clubs asking several questions relevant to this Review. Despite being anonymous responses were received to the survey by a majority of clubs.

There will be no further comment by the Commission until the draft recommendations are released.
